Brie Pileggi, Psy.D., LP, ABPP

Board Certified in Forensic Psychology

Education and Formal Training
Dr. Pileggi holds a master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology. She completed her doctoral internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Medical Center in Devens, Massachusetts. She completed a competitive postdoctoral fellowship in forensic psychology with Direct Care and Treatment - Forensic Services in St. Peter, Minnesota. Afterward, she accepted a permanent position within the department, where she continues to practice, in addition to her private practice.

Correctional and Clinical Experience
Dr. Pileggi started her career as a sheriff’s detention deputy at a large metro jail. After that, she worked in the mental health department of several state and federal prisons. Dr. Pileggi also has experience working in sex offender and chemical dependency treatment programs, providing mental health training to first responders and correctional officers, reviewing research proposals for an Institutional Review Board, administering psychological measures to assist in their standardization and the collection of normative data for Pearson, and providing post-doctoral clinical supervision.

Qualifications
Dr. Pileggi is board certified in forensic psychology through the American Academy of Professional Psychology. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota and in 38 additional states through PsyPact. She is on the Minnesota and federal rosters of qualified forensic examiners. Dr. Pileggi has lived abroad and is able to conduct evaluations in both English and Spanish. She is currently the Chair of the Forensic Psychology Division of the Minnesota Psychological Association.
